From Monday 7 October, the Shelter team is changing the way they work to make it easier for people to get face-to-face help with housing issues from their experienced housing advisors.
Key changes:
Community rights sessions: these sessions will be held at various venues across Plymouth every week, where members of the public can access face-to-face advice about any housing issues. To see what's on and when, click here.
Mondays: walk-ins at Earnest English House on Buckwell Street between 10am and 12noon will continue to be available.
Thursdays: are an appointment-only service at Earnest English House on Buckwell Street between 10am and 12noon. You can use the triage form here to book face-to-face appointments.
Supported Teams appointments: The Shelter team also offer a small number of supported appointments held using MS Teams for those who can’t access the office. To access these supported appointments, the client will need to be accompanied by their local support worker, but these can be any day Monday to Friday. You can book a Supported Teams appointment here.
If you have any questions about engaging with the Shelter team and their housing support services, please email devon@shelter.org.uk.
