Pathways into Construction and the Built Environment - Regional Networking event being hosted in Plymouth

Working in partnership, Building Plymouth and the Forces Employment Charity will be holding an employers’ marketplace and networking evening at the National Marine Aquarium on Tuesday 11 March 2025 to connect the local and regional Armed Forces community with career opportunities in the construction industry.

This is a great opportunity for veterans, service leavers, reservists and military families to gain invaluable advice and insights from the panel sessions and to meet up to 15 construction employers— all of which will have a presence and employment opportunities in the south west and are actively looking to recruit from the Armed Forces community.

Emma Hewitt, Skills Lead at Plymouth City Council said: “We are delighted to partner with Forces Employment Charity and help host this important regional pathways event in Plymouth to attract military service leavers, working-age veterans and their families locally and from across the region to consider careers in construction, and to promote potential employment pathways in the city which is facing it’s biggest construction build programme in 25 years.”
