Here at Skills Launchpad Plymouth, we have plenty of things happening to support you in your journey to find skills, training and employment.

Monday (open to anyone 16+)
Information Session for Job Seeking Adults, 12 to 2pm: Skills Launchpad Plymouth is running two dedicated sessions to tie in with National Older Workers Week, helping local people aged over 50 to take advantage of the opportunities available in the city, including job and volunteering opportunities, training and education, benefits and community support. We will be joined by representatives from Improving Lives, Harbour Centre, On Course South West and Job Centre Plymouth. For further information on today and tomorrows session, click here

Tuesday (open to anyone 16+)
Information Session for Job Seeking Adults, 12 to 2pm: The second of our sessions to tie in with National Older Workers Week sees us joined by representatives from National Careers Service, On Course South West and Community Builders.
Our experienced co-ordinators will also be on hand to discuss skills, training, cv's and more!
If you are ex military and looking to gain new skills or secure work, pop in and chat to Victoria. She will be able to offer help with training and courses that may be of interest, careers you might not have thought of, and practical ways to make those changes!
Wednesday (Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
Training and Apprenticeship Drop-in, 10am to 2pm: If you are interested in exploring training and apprenticeship opportunities, this monthly event is for you! Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to earn while you learn. Pop in and find out more about the variety of vacancies available, right here in Plymouth!
1:1 Youth Hub appointments, 10am to 2pm with our Coordinators Rhianne and Abi. They will be on hand to chat to you about skills, training, education and jobs. They are also a fountain of knowledge on apprenticeships and supported internships!
Our Youth Hub Work Coaches from the Jobcentre will be meeting people for pre-booked appointments
Hollie from the Prince's Trust will be available to discuss upcoming opportunities..
Thursday ( Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
Find Your Future, 12pm to 2pm Our Youth Hub Coordinator Rhi has cleared her diary between 12-2pm to support any care experienced young people in need of a chat and some direction. There’s no pressure to sign up to anything. It’s just a chat, and you can bring a friend or your PA. Pop in and give it a try.

University of Plymouth – Online talks
Trying to find the right course for you and learn about student life can sometimes be tricky. The University of Plymouth’s outreach team has several electronic resources and online talks that you can dip into at a time to suit you. The talks cover a wide range of topics giving an insight into Higher Education, including finance, student budgeting and choosing a course.

Boundless - Efford Youth Centre, Monday 18 November, 6.30-8pm
A youth group for neurodiverse young people. A chance to make new friends, develop social skills and explore new opportunities.
Plymouth Marjon University Open Day
Interested in finding out more about the opportunities at Plymouth Marjon University?
At these open days, you can chat with students about student life, meet lecturers to find out about courses, find out about social life, clubs and societies, tour the campus and accommodation and find out more about disability support, admissions and careers.

Open Day - Arts University Plymouth
Undergraduate and Post Graduate Open Day
Join Arts University Plymouth to explore their campus, visit nearby affordable student accommodation and speak with academics and course leaders. You’ll even have the chance to hop on a bus and have a tour of the city! During your visit to the Open Day, you will have the chance to speak to the team to find out everything you need to know about their BA (Hons) and Postgraduate offering, ask questions about studying with Arts University Plymouth, and get support on choosing the right course for you.

Open Day - Arts University Plymouth
Pre Degree
This Open Day is the ideal opportunity to see what courses are available, pre degree level. You can explore the state-of-the-art facilities, speak to course leaders and talk through any questions you might have with knowledgeable staff. There will also be representatives from Student Finance, Admissions, Student Support and the Student’s Union on hand throughout your visit.
