It's three weeks until Green Careers Week!

Green Careers Week is an exciting event that raises aspiration, supports diversity, challenges stereotypes, and promotes real opportunities for people looking to have a career that will genuinely make a difference.

Across the week, from Monday 4 to Friday 8 November, we are hosting a series of sessions with local employers to help local people discover careers, jobs, roles, and career pathways that are green careers and develop green skills.

Morning sessions will be attended by school groups (who can sign up by emailing skillslaunchpad@plymouth.gov.uk) but students, career changers, or simply those interested in finding out about opportunities, can join sessions between 1pm and 3.30pm throughout the week.

Don't forget, a green career can be any job, role or occupation that contributes to preserving or restoring the environment and our planet. It can be any industry, not just those seen as ‘green.’ Green skills are abilities, attributes, values, attitudes, knowledge, and technical skills needed to adapt services, processes and procedures to support climate change.

This could be your first step towards finding out how your skills can play a part in a greener, more resilient Plymouth. Spaces are limited to 10 people per session, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible to secure your place!
