Expansion of Free Accredited Learning Qualifications from Plymouth’s Adult Education Provider, On Co

On Course South West, part of Plymouth City Council, has increased the number of learning options available free of charge for adult learners in Plymouth and surrounding areas this Autumn to  include an additional 40 accredited learning qualifications.

This means that adult learners can work towards nationally recognised qualifications at no cost, developing skills and knowledge that will help them achieve both personal and professional development goals.  Free qualifications are now available in a range of subjects including health & social care, business & industry skills and other essential work-place skills, such as data protection, safeguarding and environmental awareness.  Free courses in digital skills, health and wellbeing, creative skills and foreign languages are also still available.

Accredited qualifications are delivered online with an approach that is designed to fit around other work and personal commitments:  learners study at their own pace and have up to 20 weeks to complete their qualification, with the support of a fully qualified assessor.  On completion, learners achieve a level 2 qualification, recognised by employers nationally.

Any adult (aged 19 or over) interested in taking up this offer can call On Course South West on 01752 660713 or visit www.oncoursesouthwest.co.uk for more information, including course options, requirements and start dates.
